Lavender
Lavender!
A wonderful essential oil. One
of my favorites to have and use.
Lavender has a soothing fragrance to
it.
I have used Lavender to alleviate a
headache. Lavender can also be used to soothe a migraine headache.
I have used Lavender to simply
soothe myself.
I have taken Lavender in my travel
bag on a tissue in a plastic bag to breathe in when I felt anxiety or when I
felt some fear due to turbulence. Here is a link to "Traveling
Tips"

A wonderful way to soothe and relax.
Lavender is also a great
anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and antiseptic!
I helped someone with acne on her
face. She was getting a lot of pitting from acne. She saw a
medical doctor about it, but the prescription medication was pretty darn harsh
on the body and with not the greatest results.
She had issues with acne even when
she was on a good quality diet.
She started using Lavender in place
of Witch Hazel or other drying products, as part of her facial regime.
The Lavender was used at straight
strength. Most essential oils will need to be diluted with a carrier oil
due to their potency. Lavender essential oil is one of those essential
oils you do not have to. (If you would rather mix it, try mixing it with
unrefined Coconut oil for maximum anti-microbial effects.)
Within a month she was seeing some nice
results in halting the acne. The best thing about it, the side effects
were: She smelled amazing, she felt soothed, she felt relaxed, no
detrimental effects on her body or mind, she didn't have to see a medical
doctor for it, she didn't need a prescription, and she didn't have to pay a lot
for it.
I have used Lavender essential oil
for cuts and skin rashes. (The initial skin inflammation under the nose
was caused by an allergic/sensitivity reaction to tissues containing a
lotion.) The rash was caused by a secondary infection (bacterial/yeast)
caused by the initial inflammation. The Lavender essential oil was mixed
with Coconut oil (unrefined). The Coconut oil also has anti-microbial
properties.
Lavender is also great to be used as
a perfume! A nice fragrance that makes you feel like you're wrapped in a
warm, soft blanket.
Before you head for products that
may have many detrimental side effects, try some pure Lavender essential
oil. Note: Not all essential oils are of the same quality. I
know I've had luck with Mountain Rose Herbs essential oils. I've
also used other brands with luck.
To make sure you're not taking in
any pesticides into your body, try buying organic.
Cheers to Nature's awesome plants!
***Note
- if you're pregnant, please ask your medical doctor
before using Lavender.
- If you have a serious medical condition, please talk
with your medical doctor first.
- If you're sensitive to fragrances or your skin is
sensitive, consider using a diluted Lavender essential oil.
- If the person is a child, please dilute the Lavender
essential oil.
- For health benefits, the essential oil must be a pure
essential oil and not a mixture or a imitation fragrance oil.
To dilute, here is a handy article talking about
it.

I have used all procedures I have

a better person. I am sharing them with you because used as a
tool, they are helpful in Shadow working on ourselves. (Shadow
working is healing our inner shadows that are unconscious or
subconscious. Inner shadows are our belief systems, our thoughts,
our behaviors, our life experiences.)
I created this blog for my Reiki
clients originally. Combining these tools with Reiki creates a
happy, healthy person. These tools, when used alone are also
beneficial!
