Lesson from Autumn
A lesson from autumn. Let go of what
does not have life anymore for you. Drop it and move on with your life.
Many
of us tend to accumulate stuff! Stuff? How about those old 1973 ponytail
rubber bands you thought you'd use, stuffed away in a back of a drawer?
Or how about that used oil pan you picked up at a rummage sale in the year 1991
and still haven't used?
Stuff
can reflect all the inner hurts we've accumulated throughout our lives. We keep them safely packed away in our energy fields.
Stuff
can also reflect relationships that just are not quite working out for
you. But you hold on to it due to feeling scared of change.
Stuff!!!
I
know I've got an office that has accumulated many unfinished projects that I
need to tend to. Question is, what project is dead to me? What project am
I NOT interested in? What do I let go of?
When
we let go of stuff, we tend to make room for what really means a
lot to us. What holds life in us.
But
if we don't let go of dead stuff, we run the risk of not allowing
new change to come into our lives.
Change
that can bring us happiness, joy, and maybe that Ah-ha moment we've
been looking for.
Holding
on to dead stuff in our lives means stagnation for us. It means we are
accumulating and holding on to dead stuff-dead bodies. How toxic is that?
Instead
of waiting for Spring cleaning, how about looking at your life every month and
decide what is alive and what is dead. Then when you find the dead stuff
in your life, just let it go.
Feeling
guilty at letting go of stuff?
For physical objects, try giving your stuff
that you don't want to the Salvation Army or other helping hand places.
Here your dead stuff can be given new life with a new person.
Have
old toys from childhood? Keep them if you want your children or
grandchildren to use them. But if you're just letting them sit there in
storage not allowing them to be used, maybe it's time you visit your
inner-child healing and your beliefs. Your loving memories will always be
with you. Now let go of the childhood toys and allow other children to
get all the enjoyment out of them as you did.
Feeling
negative all the time in a relationship? You've grown, but your friend
hasn't? Maybe that friend has been bringing you down or has been trying
to? Maybe it's time you let go of the friendship. It’s always a
hard decision to make. But if you have more lows than highs with this
friendship, it's time to move on. Make room for new friends in your life.
This
autumn, try going outside and watch as the dead leaves drop from a tree
branch. Watch how gentle the leaf falls to the ground. Here the
leaf will be repurposed. The leaf will be used for fertilizing the
soil. It will be food for Earthworms.
The
tree knew exactly when it was time to drop the dead leaf. The tree knew
there will be other chances to create (leaves) and new memories. Follow
nature and drop those dead leaves. Let go of the dead, toxic stuff. Let go and move one.

I am sharing them with you because used as a tool, they are helpful in Shadow working on ourselves. (Shadow working is healing our inner shadows that are unconscious or subconscious. Inner shadows are our belief systems, our thoughts, our behaviors, our life experiences.)
I created this blog for my Reiki clients originally. Combining these tools with Reiki creates a happy, healthy person. These tools, when used alone are also beneficial!
