Take Time
The holidays can be quite hectic. With all the preparations, shopping, and social gatherings, one forgets what really is important.
As of today, there are 15 days before the 2021 Christmas.
I don't know about you, but I feel pretty pressured. I am the one that: buys the gifts, creates the Christmas/New Year menus, prepares the menus, shops for the food to prepare the menus, writes out the cards, sends out the cards on time, sends out the gifts on time, and of course all my usual household jobs and not to mention my own business work.
If that doesn't get you a little anxious, well that's pretty awesome.
As for me, I'm feeling the stress.
Then I started to think of all the fun people have during this time of year. All the social gatherings reconnecting us with loved ones and friends.
The holidays are a time not only for reconnecting with our loved ones and friends, but it's a time to
re-define the beauty of people.
I'm not talking about the skin-deep type of beauty. I'm talking about the Inner child/ the Soul/the Holy inner light of a person.
No matter how the person behaves or looks-like in this world, you will always find, if you look close enough, their inner beauty.
For a week, whenever you interact with someone, try to find their inner child/ their inner beauty.
How do you do this?
Example, say you are having a conflict with your neighbor.
This neighbor brings out her large, overwhelming, unleashed dog every time you walk past her house with your dog. Her dog acts aggressive towards your dog. It seems nice, but at the same time, it is aggressive. And so you do not want her unleashed dog by your leashed dog.
You decide to jog with your leashed dog, hopefully leaving the other dog in your dust. But it follows you!
Soon you are 2 blocks away from the owner, with the dog still pestering you.
The owner walks with a sturdy, unhappy stride towards you. You stop to allow her to catch up and get her dog.
She walks up to you yelling at you, "You have no right to walk your dog on this road. Don't come back here."
What does a person say to someone who feels they own a public road in front of her house?
At this point, and after clearing-up her belief by stating the obvious, find her inner child.
See this adult woman as a small toddler.
Imagine seeing this toddler yelling at you in this situation. Why would a toddler do this?
Is she trying to be the street police? Is she trying to show aggressiveness like her dog?
Or maybe she is scared of unfamiliar dogs due to some accident she had in the past with one.
When we see negativity from others, we are seeing insecurity and fear from them.
The question is why?
Look for their inner child. Then find compassion and understanding.
Then at that time, forgive them.
When we see each other as the Inner child/the Soul/a Holy inner light, we are able to find compassion and forgiveness easier.
Having compassion and forgiveness is Love for yourself as well as the other person.
Love is the inner beauty we all shine out.

I have used all procedures I have written about and have found them to be helpful as tools to help myself become a better person. I am sharing them with you because used as a tool, they are helpful in Shadow working on ourselves. (Shadow working is healing our inner shadows that are unconscious or subconscious. Inner shadows are our belief systems, our thoughts, our behaviors, our life experiences.)
I created this blog for my Reiki clients originally. Combining these tools with Reiki creates a happy, healthy person. These tools, when used alone are also beneficial!
