Be YOU!

While growing up, I knew I was different from most. But when you are young and in school, one feels the need to fit in. As a child, if I didn't fit in, I felt I would have been isolated, criticized, and ridiculed just for being me! As it was, teasing, humiliating, and beating up kids was and still is a big thing.

Now that I'm an adult, I see that who I am is just as beautiful as the next person, whether I am different than them or not.

Society has put some kind of rule down that we all must act like aggressive, extroverted people in the world to belong.

If we do not act accordingly, we are again isolated, criticized, beat-up and possibly murdered!

This rule is also seen in dysfunctional families as well.

A while ago, I read a book (1) that talked about HSPs or Highly Sensitive People. In this book the author identifies people of the world into two groups. The first group is known as the aggressive/extroverts. She calls this group the warriors and kings. The warriors fight others under the order of the king. (No thinking needed. Just following orders.) The king is out in front of the warriors  making orders, controlling the warriors, and taking in the glory for their aggressive acts.

The second group of people are known as the priests. The priests consist of all the sensitive and highly sensitive people in the world. The priests are the ones that are quiet, introverted, meditators and are the thinkers. They are the healers.

The priests are the ones that the kings go to for any kind of insight and knowledge. The kings do not make a move without consulting a priest for fear of making a wrong move.

Do you see yourself in one of these groups?

In order to create a better world, we need each other to work side by side. Each group is valuable. They work in harmony only when they accept each other and work side by side.

In war-time or any other time, kings/warriors have created the "other" group.

The "other" group is used to identify a group of people that are not "people" in their eyes/minds. The "other" group are people that are diminished in a person's mind so they can effectively abolish the group, whether physically or in their minds! The other group is dehumanized. This is how in war time; warriors were able to kill another human.

(2) In today’s world, we still have people creating and seeing "other" groups.

Others due to the color of their skin. Others due to their sexual desires or sexual orientation. Others due to being a woman. Others due to having a different religion. Others due to being in a different culture. Others due to being a culture that is associated with a smaller group of people who believe in creating "other" groups. Other due to being introverted. Other due to not following societies’ norms!

And the list goes on and on.

If people could accept who they are, who they really are, this world would be more at peace. Why? Because when we accept who we are inside and out, we have the ability to accept those around us who are different then us. If there is a lack of acceptance to others, then there is no acceptance in themselves.

Is it hard to accept, deep down, who you really are? All your emotional pain? All your hurts?

All your beauty and light?

Acceptance starts within YOURSELF.

Be who you are meant to REALLY BE.

I created this blog for my Reiki clients originally.  Combining these tools with Reiki creates a happy, healthy person.  These tools, when used alone are also beneficial!
